About Me
Biography
​Ivy Huang is a sophomore from North Potomac, MD studying Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland. Her interests include painting, drawing, public speaking, and poetry. Her fine arts practice explores the use of traditional acrylic painting techniques to create calming and healing works of art for patients in healthcare facilities.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences, she plans to work as a speech therapist to help patients use their voices to express themselves.

Ivy intends to take advantage of the opportunity as a College Park Arts Scholar to learn about various forms of art from the pentathlon events. She plans to continue working with elementary school students in her local community to further develop their academic skills over online teaching platforms. At UMD, Ivy hopes to obtain her degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and graduate prepared to enter the workforce as a speech therapist.
